Consumer's Share of Spend Panel Discussion

Hosted By: Keith Anderson, Profitero
Sheri Best, H-E-B; Greg Parsons, Kroger; Amy McAnarney, Hallmark Cards; John Castillo, Energizer Household

It’s clear that retailers today struggle with understanding the mission of shoppers as they quickly evolve, no channel is immune. The economics of retail and the power of big brands are being challenged as the consumer has a new digital roadmap to find what they need. While consumers are more connected than ever, demand is skyrocketing for convenience, on-demand, connectivity, and personalization. The shopper's willingness to convert to new brands is lessening due to auto-refill and subscription programs. How are retailers and their suppliers able to gain loyalty and win shoppers back? Join the conversation to learn best and next-practices.

GMDC/ATK GM Benchmarking Report

Speaker: Jason Maehara, Manager, AT Kearney

The session will reveal how  GM categories are an overlooked weapon in the arsenal of traditional retailers fighting for relevancy inside brick and mortar on multiple fronts. Custom research indicates that although GM sales in the traditional Food/Drug/Mass (FDM) channel are migrating to new channels—opportunities still exist for traditional retailers to leverage GM for profitability and enhancing the shopper experience. GMDC’s research uncovers pockets of growth that relate to several trends currently impacting GM.

During the Showcase reception, retailers can meet with suppliers by their product display to discuss new and popular items in a more relaxed environment. During dinner events, attendees can have a meal together, enjoy live entertainment, and even partake in games or activities set-up at the venue.

Saturday's Dinner will feature a performance courtesy of local John Denver tribute band, Chris Collins & Boulder Canyon.

Fundraising Event | June 14th @ 6:45pm

Help us build backpacks for local Denver students

This year GMDC is partnering with the Kids in Need Foundation in order to provide hundreds of local children with backpacks filled with school supplies. With your monetary support, as well as your participation at the upcoming GM Conference, we can help make a difference in 320 kids’ lives by giving them the tools to help them succeed in their education.

Our goal is to raise $8,000 by May 31st in order to supply 320 children with backpacks. If each GM19 attendee donates $25 we can hit our goal. Help us make a difference!
